Sausage-and-Cheese-Stuffed French Toast Rolls

10 minutes - 8 rolls
- 8 slices of St-Méthode 9 Grains Bread
- 8 breakfast sausages, cooked
- 1 cup of grated aged cheddar
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup of milk
- 2 tbsp of butter
- Maple syrup, for serving
- Remove the crusts from the bread. Using a rolling pin, flatten the slices of bread.
- Place a breakfast sausage in the middle of each slice of bread and cover with cheddar.
- Roll the slices into tight rolls, then set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and milk. Set aside.
- In a non-stick pan, melt the butter.
- Dip the rolls in the egg mixture, then cook them in the pan until golden. Drizzle with maple syrup and serve.
