Sausage-and-Cheese-Stuffed French Toast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of St-Méthode 9 Grains Bread
  • 8 breakfast sausages, cooked
  • 1 cup of grated aged cheddar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Preparation

  1. Remove the crusts from the bread. Using a rolling pin, flatten the slices of bread.
  2. Place a breakfast sausage in the middle of each slice of bread and cover with cheddar.
  3. Roll the slices into tight rolls, then set aside.
  4. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and milk. Set aside.
  5. In a non-stick pan, melt the butter.
  6. Dip the rolls in the egg mixture, then cook them in the pan until golden. Drizzle with maple syrup and serve.
