“Nuns’ Farts” made with Sliced Bread

- ½ cup of brown sugar or maple sugar
- ¼ cup of softened butter
- 4 slices of St-Méthode’s Homestyle Oat Bread
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp of milk
- Preheat the oven to 350° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and softened butter.
- Cut the crusts off the bread and flatten the slices slightly using a rolling pin.
- Spread the sugar mixture onto the slices of bread; then, roll up the slices tightly.
- Cut each roll into 5 or 6 slices. Whisk the egg and milk in a small bowl; lightly daub each slice with the egg mixture.
- Place the slices on the baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time, until the slices are golden brown.
