“Nuns’ Farts” made with Sliced Bread

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and softened butter.
  3. Cut the crusts off the bread and flatten the slices slightly using a rolling pin.
  4. Spread the sugar mixture onto the slices of bread; then, roll up the slices tightly.
  5. Cut each roll into 5 or 6 slices. Whisk the egg and milk in a small bowl; lightly daub each slice with the egg mixture.
  6. Place the slices on the baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time, until the slices are golden brown.
