Fall Harvest Delight Sandwich

- 100g smoked turkey breast, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 slices of 9 grains bread
- 1 Cortland or Empire apple, thinly sliced
- 1 slice of semi-firm cheese, Oka or aged cheddar from Quebec
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
- A few leaves of arugula or lettuce
Maple Mayonnaise Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
Sandwich Assembly:
- Spread a generous layer of maple mayonnaise on each slice of bread.
- On one slice of bread, place the smoked turkey breast slices.
- Add the cheese slice on top.
- Place the thin apple slices over the cheese.
- Add the tomato slices and arugula (or lettuce).
- Close the sandwich with the second slice of bread.
- Serve immediately or pack it for a snack during an autumn hike. Enjoy!
