Avocado Toast with Ruby Red Grapefruit

15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
60 ml (1/4 cup) sunflower seeds
1 pinch sea salt (fleur de sel)
4 slices St-Méthode Multi-Cereal Bread
125 ml (1/2 cup) beet hummus
1 to 2 avocados, sliced
1 Ruby Red grapefruit, in segments
250 ml (1 cup) sprouts of your choice


  1. In a small pan, heat the oil over medium heat and toast the sunflower seeds with the sea salt for 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl to stop the cooking.
  2. Toast the slices of bread.
  3. Top each slice of toast with about 30 ml (2 tbsp) of hummus, a quarter of the avocado slices, and a quarter of the grapefruit segments.
  4. Sprinkle with toasted sunflower seeds and sprouts.

Serve immediately.
