Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Aged Cheddar, Pear, and Almond Butter

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Campagnolo 9 Whole Grains Loaf
  • 250 g extra sharp cheddar
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 4 tbsp (60 ml) almond butter

Preparation

1. Spread out the 8 slices of Campagnolo 9 Whole Grains Loaf.
2. Thinly slice the cheddar cheese and place equal amounts on 4 of the slices of bread.
3. Spread almond butter on the remaining 4 slices of bread.
4. Peel and thinly slice the pear, placing an equal number of slices on the cheese-topped bread. Season with pepper to taste.
5. Close the sandwiches, placing the slices of bread with almond butter over the slices topped with cheese and pear.
6. Grill to your preferred doneness in a panini press or a pan. Lightly butter the bread before grilling.
