Grandpa Raphael's French toasts

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup (125ml) of 1% milk
  • 4 slices of oat and sesame Campagnolo loaf


  1. In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
  2. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray or butter and heat over moderate heat.
  3. Dip one slice of bread at a time into the egg mixture for about 10 seconds on each side. Remove the slice from the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off, and then place it in the hot skillet.
  4. Cook until the bottom is golden, which will take about 1 ½ to 2 minutes. Flip the slice and cook on the other side until golden brown as well.

Serve with maple syrup, honey, jam, or seasonal fruits.
