French toast casserole cinnamon roll-style

- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 10 slices of Homestyle loaf bread from Boulangerie St-Méthode, cut into cubes
- ½ cup raisins
- ½ cup chopped pecans
For the cream cheese topping:
- ½ cup cream cheese
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 rectangular or 8-inch circular dish with melted butter.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk, sugar, and cinnamon. Add the bread cubes and soak for about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Add the raisins and pecans, and gently mix.
- Place the bread mixture into the dish and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until fully cooked.
- While baking, whisk all the ingredients for the cream cheese topping.
- Remove from the oven, drizzle with the cream cheese topping, and serve.
