Maple and Cranberry French Toast

For toppings 

1 cup of cranberries

1 cup of maple syrup

1 cup of plain Greek yogurt


For French toast

4 eggs

½ cup of almond milk

1 pinch of nutmeg

1 cup of maple flakes

4 slices of St-Méthode Home Style bread


In a small saucepan, add the cranberries and the maple syrup; bring to boil at medium/low heat and stir occasionally until obtaining a jam-like texture. Beat the eggs with the almond milk and the nutmeg until smooth. Then soak the St-Méthode bread slices in the egg mixture one at a time and, in a separate plate, coat each side with the maple flakes.

Cook a few minutes on medium heat and, when ready to serve, garnish with a generous spoon of plain yogurt and the cranberry toppings.
